I’m so busy right now, that I can hardly keep up with my blog. So I’ll try to tell you all about it, one adventure at a time :-)
Saturday Mama and Papa took me to San Jose to a festival for dogs. It’s called “Bark in the Park” and it’s an annual event. There are lots and lots of humans but also lots and lots of dogs. Tee-hee

The humans have tents and stalls were they sell treats, toys, collars, leashes, bones, beds etc etc. Sometimes they have samples of food too and treats. I got a lot of treats that day. :-)

My dog trainer Nancy was there too because “A Dog’s Life” (my school) had an info booth there too. I like Nancy and was so happy to see her.

I also met my friend from the park, Champ again. But he and his parents were already leaving so we didn’t have much time to catch up.

We also got some information about how to become a therapy dog and where I may go for a spa day.

Wohoo! That sounds fun.

We saw a happy tail wagging competition (which I totally would have nailed if Mama and Papa would’ve enrolled me in the competition) and some dogs that were doing fly ball. Wow! They were awesome! They could jump like ….that high! Amazing!

I also met a lot of dogs and had the most amazing time playing with a 6 months old Siberian Husky.

Guess what? When we went home I barely made it inside the house. I was sooooo tired. But I had so much fun and I hope to go to Bark in the Park again next year.

Oh, btw I didn’t see a single other Beardie – Not even the tiniest one :-(

But I got a lot of attention, even though there were hundreds of other cute dogs there too. I guess, us Beardies are just too cute – tee hee.

Doh!! I wish I’d known about the Bark in the Park, we only live 30 mins from San Jose and I could have been your Beardie pal for the day!!! It sounded like so much fun!!

You mention that you found info on becoming a Therapy Dog, my Mum is heavy into the research on that right now and I think she’s even got some forms – was it Furry Friends that you found out about?

    Have a fun day buddy,

    Your Beardie Pal Snoopy :)

Hey Snoopy! I would have loved to meet you. We should schedule a Beardie play date soon. It seems we’re living really close to each other!

And yes, it was Furry Friends we found out about and talked to some very friendly people there. My whole family likes the idea of pet assisted therapy services. The few months I’m with them, we found out, that every time we pass people, 9 out of 10 are smiling the second they see me. So why not make some more people smile, especially those who aren’t smiling that much any more? So we’re thinking of becoming volunteers for one of the therapy dog organizations, once I’m old enough and passed all the necessary tests. Let me know how you’re proceeding with the idea. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we Beardies could spread some of our happiness?
    Hope to meeting you soon.
