Last weekend was more than exciting and exhausting, let me tell you!

Saturday started with a lot of trips to doctors appointments for Mama and Papa. I wasn’t allowed inside so either Papa or Mama waited outside the doctors offices with me. BORING!

Afterwards we went apartment and house hunting. AGAIN!

We were looking at a lot of apartments and one beautiful house, which I really, really liked, but we ended up not getting, because someone else was willing to pay a lot more as the landlord originally wanted. So :-(

But I’m not sitting all by myself in the backseat when Papa and Mama are driving. You remember how I told you, that I’m not a fan of car rides and that I sometimes get carsick. Ok, I’m still not a fan, but I’m not getting carsick any more and I kinda like to have the backseat all for myself.

Wohoo, I’m growing up!

Saturday evening was especially exciting. Mama and Papa took me to Santana Row were we met my new friend Chris and and a lovely lady who’s a co-worker of Papa.

We were hanging out at the Lounge Chairs and I got to see a lot! A lot of other dogs, a lot of kids and a lot of people. Everybody was enjoying the evening with a little shopping tour or a nice dinner at Santana Row. It was really really great.

Then, we all went to a Greek-style restaurant were the Humans had dinner and I took a nap, because I was sooooo exhausted from watching all those people.

But it was great fun, and everybody we met, instantly fell in love with me and made a big fuss. Tee-hee! Guess I’m really the cutest dog in the world. ;-)

I had my first day at school!

Yesterday Mama, Papa and I went to A Dog’s Life for my first training at Puppy School. We all were very excited, but the second I left the car, I made new friends.

A golden retriever puppy (I have to find out how his name is actually written), two Chihuahua mixes and I think Esme is a Cocker Spaniel.

Peggy, our teacher, is so nice. I like her a lot. She has the best treats in the world.  We were allowed to play a bit, before starting with the serious stuff, like “sit”, “down” and listening to our names.

Mama and Papa said I was doing very well and Peggy was fascinated by how good I’m at sitting. Wohoo! Guess I made a good first impression.

I’m sooo looking forward to next weeks class, and maybe I’ll get to see some of my new friends at Puppy Socialization next weekend.

Now I have to do some “homework” and there is something new on the horizon. Mama bought something to fix me in the car. :-(

She says I have to learn how to be by myself in the backseat.

Not a fan – not a fan.

I’ll let you know how this is going to be…

Wow that was an exciting Sunday.

Yesterday, Mama, Papa and I went to a so called “Puppy Socialization” meet-up.

That was fun! Sooooooo many dogs. Although most of them were older and bigger, I had lots of fun.

First they put me with the group of “shy” dogs. Two of them were about my seize and the third one was very very small and very very shy.

I tried to herding this little guy, but apparently I wasn’t supposed to do that :-(

The other two dogs played a little, but still, they were way to shy for me. So I kinda got a little bossy, at least that’s what Mama said.

So I was put in the next group with the big guys. Wow!

They were HUGE!

A Leonberger, a German Shepard, a Great Dane and so on…

They were playing really wild and the German Shepard chased me across the room. I have to admit, I didn’t feel too comfortable around those big guys. I wasn’t afraid, don’t get me wrong, just a little uncomfortable. Maybe because I suddenly wasn’t one of the tallest Puppies? Or maybe because I was the youngest?

I don’t know, but the last few minutes I was allowed to go back to the smaller and shy dogs. I was so exhausted, from playing, herding, and jumping, that I did better at the end.

The Trainer, a really nice woman, told me to come back next week to  try a different group, where there are more Puppies in may age and about my seize.

Wohoo!

After that exciting morning, I was soooooo tiered, that I slept almost all day. I’m so looking forward to starting Puppy School this week. Mama said, it’ll be fun and we’re going to meet lots of other Puppies there. I’m not too sure, because one of the guys at Puppy Socialization told me, that it’s a real school, where you have to learn things like sit, stay and so on. I think I’ll be very good at that, because Mama already taught me some of the stuff.

So we’ll see how this school thing will be…

I thought Mama and I were having a quite Saturday while Papa was in Stanford speaking at some conference, but NO! Mama decided to turn this nice Saturday into a grooming day.

First I had to take a SHOWER! A SHOWER!

I don’t like it! So, I said it! I don’t like it!!! I’m standing very still to not make it a never ending story, but still, it seams to take ages, until I’m all wet, shampooed and rinsed.

But I have to admit, that the fresh and cool feeling afterwards is great! Wet as I am, I love running around the house, roll around the carpet and jump up and down. It’s a lot of fun, I can tell you. And the best thing is…I’m soaking everything else around me. Tee-hee!

After that exhausting shower thing, I had to take a nice and long Siesta.

And than…grooming!

That’s the part I really really like. It’s like getting a massage. Awesome!

And now? I’m all fluffy and all the people we met during my “Gassi” loved me even more. I’m the cutest dog in the world – for sure!

I can’t wait to show Papa how great I look and smell….

Yesterday was very exciting. I knew something was strange when Papa didn’t go to work as usual, but took me and Mama with him instead.

After a short car ride (did I mention that I’m not a fan of the car?) we stopped. I had to go to the vet for the first time ever!

Papa carried me all the way from the car to the office. While Mama filled out the registration form for me, I acted the cutest I possibly could. The lovely ladies at the front desk loved me. No doubt about it. But that weird hairy cat there, wasn’t impressed at all. Well, maybe she was just jealous because everybody made a big fuss about ME! Tee-hee.

Then we all had to go to a little room, where we had to wait. After a few minutes a nice girl came in and took a picture of me. For the records she said. Than I had to sit in a white thing. Mama said I gained a few pounds – so I guess it was a scale. So far so good.

The lovely girl left an my new Vet Michelle came in. She was soooooo nice. I got loads of treats. She poked my ears, looked at my teeth and examined my whole body. She seemed to be very pleased with me. Than the humans started talking – A LOT! I mean A LOT! Hello? Anyone here still realizes I’m still on that table? BORING!

All of a sudden, something happened! I got another round of treats and than Vet Michelle stuck a needle in my neck. And then Papa did the same. Hello? Are you insane?

Apparently Vet Michelle toughed my Papa how to give me the 2. shot of my vaccination. Which means, that was a just a drill. I’m not a lab rat!!!

But Mama said, it’ll be better for Papa to see how it’s done properly than to hurt me. Ok, agreed. And to be fair…it didn’t hurt at all.

At least I got a lot of treats that morning and Mama was super nice to me all day long.

And on top of it all, I got an awesome present from my friends Addie, Elijah, Pam and Marco. Something to play and some treats! I haven’t met them yet, but I already loooooove them.

Thank you guys for that totally great welcome present. I’m having a blast :-)
