Apparently I’m a herding dog that’s supposed to be herding sheep. SOMEONE apparently forgot to tell me about that little detail when showing me 3! sheep the other week.

Have you ever seen a sheep? They are HUGE!!! And they make very very strange noises and they have weird eyes and they are HUGE!!! Did I mention HUGE?

How am I little fluff ball, supposed to be herding those gigantic animals? I don’t see it, nope, absolutely not. It’s a mystery how those monsters would even consider following my commands…

I have to admit, that I even got a little scared when they moved and made those funny noises. So I sat down in a safe distance and observed. I was very relieved to find out, that they were behind a fence. Phew, no way they could’ve come out after me.

Somehow, my safety precautions made Mama and Papa laugh. I don’t see how this could be funny. As I said before; they are HUGE!

Now they keep telling me that I’m a herding dog, and that I should rethink my fear of sheep, because apparently I like herding things like German Shepherds, Mama, Papa, my friends…..

Well, I’m just saying: THEY ARE HUGE

Who’s with me on that one?

Apparently I’m allergic to grain :-(

Mama and Papa suspected that for a while, because every time I got rice or some very yummy treats that contained grain, I started scratching a lot. Sometimes it was so bad, that I left little balls of coat all over the place, because I was scratching so much.

We tried everything to sooth my skin, but since Mama set me on a strict no-grain diet, everything is fine. No scratching, no itching skin…just pure fluffiness.

Guess that means, I really am allergic to grain and that I have to say ‘no’ to lots and lots of yummy treats…and rice…and what not….

But Mama said, that it’s not as bad as I’m thinking right now, and that we’ll manage it just like Papa’s allergies. Apparently, he’s allergic to all kinds of things, like grass, cats (tee-hee guess I won’t ever have to share my family with a cat) and trees.

Now I’ll only grain free food and treats, and so far, I don’t feel like I’m missing out on something. And just to make me feel better, Mama took me on a trip to San Francisco the other day, where we visited the Golden Gate Park and enjoyed a beautiful view over the City.

I think I really like San Francisco. Nice off-leash beaches, lots of lovely dog parks and the Golden Gate Park is dog friendly too. Wohoo!

I’m so busy…
When Oma was here, we had such a great time, but unfortunately she had to leave again :-( I missed her so much, but then, the next day, Papa came back home from Germany! Wohoooooo!!!
I was already wondering if he’d forgotten about me, but when we picked him up from the airport, he was as happy as me to be back home. Phew
And the best thing of Papa returning was, that he brought a new visitor. Yep! He brought his Daddy so guess that’s my Opa then, which is German for Grandpa.
Opa wasn’t used to having a dog around, but I just charmed him with a lot of tail wagging and butt wiggling – teehee.
Of course, having Opa here means that we’re doing a lot of sightseeing again. Santa Cruz, Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco and so on
I’m extra cute and relaxed when sitting in the car for hours, but Mama sometimes feels a little bit guilty about me being in the car so often lately. Guess that’s why I’m getting a lot of very yummy treats recently – teehee. Guess this guilt thing is working out quite well for me ;-)
But because we’re so busy right now, I’m not having an awfully lot of time to blog, so maybe you’d like to check out my
Facebook page or my twitter @beardiepepper for some short updates on my adventures until I’m able to blog more frequently again (once everything’s going the usual way again).

See you soon!

I’m so confused. This week is weird. Don’t know what to think of that.
I knew something was different when Papa was packing his clothes in a large thingy that he called a suitcase. Mama told me, that Papa was going on a conference to Germany and will be away for a week. A WHOLE WEEK???? How can I be without him for a whole week???
I even tried to fit in that suitcase thing but Mama found me and so I had to get out. :-(
On Saturday we dropped Papa off at the airport. THE AIRPORT!
That’s a weird place. Lots and lots of planes coming and going and soooooo many people.
But because I wasn’t traveling with him nor am I a service dog, I wasn’t allowed to go into the airport. So Mama and I drove back home.
I’m glad we went to the dog park straight away, so I could play and didn’t have to be too sad about Papa leaving.
In the evening we drove to the airport again. I thought Papa was already coming back home although I knew we was supposed to be in Germany for a week.
I was wrong – obviously.
But we did pick up someone. My doggy Oma (which is German for Grandmother). I’ve seen her on Skype but wasn’t impressed much. But now, having her here in the car with us – a totally different story.
I LOVE HER!
She is awesome.
And the best thing is, she’s staying the whole week until Papa is coming back home. That’ll make it easier for me I guess.
Oma is so much fun. Every time I see her, I have to greet her again, and again. It’s just because I’m happy she’s here. I love hanging out in the guest room, lick her shoes, sit on her bed, chew on her pj’s…you get the picture.
Tee – hee
Mama tells me all the time, that I shouldn’t be so overly excited, but I can’t help it. My butt has to wiggle and my tail is wagging automatically. ;-)
Oma is the best, and she surely helps me not being too sad about Papa not being here.
Glad she came all the way to California.

Yesterday my two friends Jesse and Leyha came over for a play date again. I loooove having them around. Leyah and I were playing a lot. Poor Jesse, he only wanted to nap. Tee-hee.

But the good hostess I am I let him and Leyah nap in my bed.

I even shared my Bully Stick and my Donkey Pete with Leyah

I’m a really good hostess, I think. Or am I? Judge for yourself ;-)

Oh, and today is Wednesday which means: blog hop time! Enjoy hopping around:
