Today something really really strange is happening. There is water falling from the sky!!!

I’ve seen water coming out of the sprinklers, water fountains, faucets. I’ve seen water in the ocean, in the pool, in the bath tub and in puddles, but I’ve never seen water falling from the sky.

That’s spooky. Not sure what to think of that.

Mama says, that this is called “rain” and that this will be happening more often now. It’s because there is something that’s called seasons. Apparently there are 4 of them each year and Mama also said that I was born in spring. But all I can remember is summer. According to my Mama it’s turning fall now and than winter. And in fall it starts to rain here in Northern California. When there will be winter, it’s apparently getting colder and it will rain more often.

Not sure if I like that rain-thingy though. It’s making my coat all wet and my paws dirty which means I have to stand in the bath tub more often after my walks so that I’m not leaving paw prints all over the carpet. :-(

Hope this fall and winter thing won’t last too long. But who knows, maybe I’m going to like winter after all, because I kinda like cooler temperatures.

But for now, I’m listening to the sound of the rain and watch it from a safe distance – inside the house :-D

Monday last week was a great surprise. I learned that Papa had the week off from work to spend some quality time with me and Mama. Wohooooo!

But not only would he stay with us, but we drove all the way south to Carmel.

Carmel is a very dog friendly, cosy little town. Dogs may go almost everywhere, they are even allowed inside most of the restaurants there. Isn’t that great?

But the best thing is the beach. Carmel has a fantastic white sandy beach where dogs can run off-leash!

Because it was a really warm and sunny day, Mama and Papa brought the parasol for me so I could sit in the shade. But who wants to sit in the shade, when digging in the sand is so much more fun?

I love digging and I dug an awesome hole. Tee-hee. My snout was all sandy, but who cares ;-)

Mama was really brave, she took a swim in the Pacific. Can you believe it? She’s nuts. It’s sooooo cold and those waves are really really scary. I didn’t dare to go to close to the water. I even had to call some other dogs back, when they were jumping in the water. Better be safe than sorry, me thinks.

And how needs to swim, when you can dig in the sand? Exactly!

And then something fantastic happened. Papa and I were playing with some other dogs, when a man approach us, with a dog who looked exactly like me. When Papa asked who he was and where he was born (because he obviously was a Beardie Puppy) it turned out, that this was my brother Vegas (I knew him as Foster). I haven’t seen him for almost 3 months so I didn’t recognize him at first. But wow, I was so happy to see one of my siblings again. And Vegas seemed to be happy to see me too. He’s really handsome and so fluffy.

And guess what? He doesn’t like waves either. Tee-hee.

It definitely was nice to see him.

So we all had a pretty awesome time at the beach in Carmel.

In the evening the fog came back and although I loved it, Mama and Papa decided that it was time to leave the beach in favor of a stroll around Carmel.

They seemed to enjoy it, me not so much. I think digging in the sand was way more fun than window shopping. But they eventually sat down at and Italian restaurant and I was glad to have a little nap time while they were having dinner.

All in all a fantastic day, and I love Carmel. Awesome pet policy and 5 out of 5 paws for that. :-)

I thought it might be fun to share some of the destinations and places I’ve been to and where dogs are allowed to visit with all of you.
It’s not easy being a puppy because there are so many places we can’t go. Me and my Mama and Papa are always glad and very happy to find dog friendly places.
So on Sunday, we went to
Stanford Shopping Center. The shopping center is in Palo Alto which is a pretty dog friendly city but this shopping center is even better. Dogs are allowed inside the stores. Even the big branches like Macy’s or the little boutiques. It’s fantastic! Some of the places even have water bowls for us or sometimes treats.

It was great! I helped Mama pick out new pants at Eileen Fisher’s and Papa a new Jeans at Macy’s. I had a cup of water at Starbucks and we did a lot of window shopping too.

I met a lot of other dogs, and they were all so well behaved, that I did my best too.

In one store we met a lady who recognized me as a Beardie at once. She told us, that she had an older Beardie too (who wasn’t there with her) and that her dog was a rescue dog. When she saw me, she said that she was ready for a second Beardie. Tee-hee, guess that’s because I was extra cute on Sunday.

In my opinion Stanford Shopping Center has a great dog policy and we’re definitely going there more often and skip Valley Fair in Santa Clara, because they don’t allow dogs inside.

Standford Shopping Center’s paw rating? 5 out of 5 paws

Wohooooooooo!!!!

Oh and btw, it’s Wednesday which means, it’s time for the blog hop again.

Have fund blog hopping:

I’m so busy right now, that I can hardly keep up with my blog. So I’ll try to tell you all about it, one adventure at a time :-)
Saturday Mama and Papa took me to San Jose to a festival for dogs. It’s called
“Bark in the Park” and it’s an annual event. There are lots and lots of humans but also lots and lots of dogs. Tee-hee

The humans have tents and stalls were they sell treats, toys, collars, leashes, bones, beds etc etc. Sometimes they have samples of food too and treats. I got a lot of treats that day. :-)

My dog trainer Nancy was there too because “A Dog’s Life” (my school) had an info booth there too. I like Nancy and was so happy to see her.

I also met my friend from the park, Champ again. But he and his parents were already leaving so we didn’t have much time to catch up.

We also got some information about how to become a therapy dog and where I may go for a spa day.

Wohoo! That sounds fun.

We saw a happy tail wagging competition (which I totally would have nailed if Mama and Papa would’ve enrolled me in the competition) and some dogs that were doing fly ball. Wow! They were awesome! They could jump like ….that high! Amazing!

I also met a lot of dogs and had the most amazing time playing with a 6 months old Siberian Husky.

Guess what? When we went home I barely made it inside the house. I was sooooo tired. But I had so much fun and I hope to go to Bark in the Park again next year.

Oh, btw I didn’t see a single other Beardie – Not even the tiniest one :-(

But I got a lot of attention, even though there were hundreds of other cute dogs there too. I guess, us Beardies are just too cute – tee hee.
